The concept proposal for the Interactive Centre of Science (located on the site of a 100-year-old complex of the “Energopolis” power plant) in particular focuses on the need to retain and utilise historical facilities and architectural elements defining the place’s unique post-industrial ambience. The existing part of the power plant, together with its surviving historical devices, was the basis for the historical narrative, i.e. refered to the times of the facility’s launch and operation. The exhibition built the use of most recent means of expression. It is also the starting point for the presentation and understanding of the complex term, i.e. “energy”.
