Mauzoleum in Michniów Wins the “Polish Cement in Architecture” Competition

The Mauzoleum of the Martyrdom of Polish Villages in Michniów, designed by Nizio Design International, has been awarded the First Prize in the 29th edition of the “Polish Cement in Architecture” competition. The results were announced on 12 December 2025 during a ceremonial gala held at the headquarters of the SARP in Warsaw. This year’s edition of the competition evaluated fifty completed projects, from which nineteen finalists were selected.

Our team has been creating award-winning architectural designs and concepts for major museum exhibitions in Poland for many years. The Interactive Centre for Fairy Tales and Animation OKO in Bielsko-Biała - for which we were responsible for the design of the new building, the revitalization of the historic Roth Villa, and the landscaping - has just been nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture / Mies van der Rohe Award 2026.

Monumental Urban Sculpture by Mirosław Nizio Recognized in the Prestigious Mujassam Watan Urban Sculpture Challenge

Our project won second place in the international Mujassam Watan Urban Sculpture Challenge 2025, organized as part of Saudi Arabia’s cultural transformation and the Vision 2030 program. The competition, which aimed to select the most outstanding public art installations for two strategic locations in Al-Khobar, received 366 submissions from 60 countries, confirming the growing global interest in the potential of public spaces across the Gulf region.
