On June 15, 2021, during the final gala of the POLITYKA Architectural Award competition, Mirosław Nizio received an exceptional distinction for the project of the Mausoleum of Martyrdom of Polish Villages in Michniów. The project received the Internet Users’ Award in the jubilee 10th edition of the Award. The design by Nizio Design International received the largest share, i.e. 25.3% of all the votes cast by internet users for the 10 nominated projects.
