The Nazi Extermination Camp in Bełżec was an extermination centre for Jews where, from March until December of 1942, approx. 500,000 people were murdered. The exhibition involves some of the objects found on the camp’s site, such us photos, audiovisual materials and post camp relicts. The information and education sphere narrates the history of the camp in Bełżec against the backdrop of the history of Europe at the time of World War II. The exhibition space has been divided into 5 zones. Each of them, ranging from blue-gray to dark gray (the colour is a dramatic tension building element), has been symbolically and respectively entitled in Hebrew, English, and Polish: “Life”, “Hatred”, “Deportations”, “Extermination Camp”, and “Remembrance”.
